We are super-excited to announce that Praetorian has joined the APF Records roster.

Hailing from North Hertfordshire, the quartet delivers a devastating blend of blackened sludge, doom riffs, and chaotic noise rock. Their intense, bowel-rattling sound - coupled with frontman Tom Clements’ wild, unpredictable live antics - has made them a force to be reckoned with in the UK underground.

Following on from their 2022 EP A Deluge of Bad Faith, APF will be releasing their debut full-length album Pylon Cult in early 2025. With a foundation of sludge metal at its core, the album encompasses black metal, doom and post-metal, creating a dynamic sound that is as diverse as it is destructive. The album will take listeners on a wild ride through fast, slow, and ridiculously heavy sections, punctuated by rare moments of subdued calm that lure you in just before the storm returns.

In a whole different stratosphere from the EP, the album is a blisteringly heavy, unrelenting juggernaut. Recorded by Wayne Adams at Bear Bites Horse Studio, it's already blown heads clean off at APF HQ. Can't wait for you all to hear it.
