APF Records is thrilled to announce the return of UNDER with their new full-length album What Happened in Roundwood, set for release on 23rd January 2026.

The Stockport trio – Matt Franklin (bass/vocals), Andy Preece (drums/vocals) and Simon Mayo (guitar/vocals) – have long been one of the most unique voices in the UK heavy underground. Their unclassifiable blend of sludge, noise, prog and avant-garde chaos has earned them a reputation for bending genres and brains alike.

Following their acclaimed releases Slick (2017), Stop Being Naïve (2018) and Training Resource #5 (2020), What Happened in Roudwood finds Under delving deeper into their own uneasy world - where gnarled riffs, off-kilter rhythms and surreal lyricism collide in glorious, unnerving harmony.

Recorded and mixed by Simon Mayo at Spirit Studios in Manchester, the new album captures the full intensity of the band’s live sound while introducing new textures, dynamics and layers of unsettling beauty.

The first single from the album, “Escape Roudwood,” will be released on 30th October 2025 on Spotify and all major streaming platforms.

What Happened in Roudwood will follow on 23rd January 2026 on vinyl, CD and digital formats via APF Records. A new t-shirt is also available.
